sharing this here -- comment policy: I love commenters, and I'm super happy to discuss all thoughts with people who disagree with me. But recently there's been a couple of brand-new members who have created an account to immediately post links to their own sites. This is banned for brand new members; our comments section is for conversation, not for self promotion. If you become a part of the community and post interesting non-self promotey things, you can then occasionally share links to your own relevant work as well.

Secondly.... look, this is a personal blog where a few friends post their thoughts-in-progress about everything/nothing. If you think the author(s) are idiots, it really doesn't make sense to read the blog: nobody is making you, and you will lose nothing by skipping it. If you think the authors are wrong, go ahead and say so! We don't even agree with ourselves all the time, let alone each other. But fundamentally if you're not coming from the perspective that the authors are reasonable people, what are you doing here?

(If you're a thoughtful person please do comment though! Love love love to read your comments).
